Donations to the PTO

Checks can be made out to "Underwood PTO" and turned in to the Office. Additionally, donations can be made online at communityroom.net.
Just click "make a donation" and select "Underwood School" as your nonprofit. In the special instructions, please specify if you are making a PTO donation,signing up for the Mystery Dinner, buying a ticket to the spring social, donating money for the holiday gift card drive, etc. Thank you!

Underwood's Birthday Book Club

The Birthday Book Club helps the keep the Underwood Library updated by providing funds to purchase additional books. In addition, it provides a unique way for parents to celebrate their child's birthday at Underwood while promoting the importance of reading! An order form with a $15 donation needs to be turned into our Library Teacher, Rachael Lundquist. During your child's birthday month, your child will select a brand new book from a shelf of new library books, and a bookplate with your child's name and birthdate will be placed in the book. Your child will be the first student to check out the new book. The book then becomes a gift to the underwood Library and can be checked out by other students and teachers to enjoy for years to come. Labels for Education

Labels for Education (www.labelsforeducation.com): An Exciting New Way to Earn Free Merchandise for Underwood. Underwood School has just enrolled in a new program, Labels for Education, through which we are able to earn free merchandise for the school. Similar to the successful Boxtops for Education program, the school submits proof of purchase for items that you may likely already and is awarded points. Ultimately, those points are accumulated and exchanged for merchandise, such as supplies, equipment, and even computers.

The list of participating products is expansive. More information will be shared at a later date regarding the complete list (and whether a UPC code or lid is required) and will also be available on the PTO website.

Funded by the PTO: Overview of 2010-11 CASC Programming

UNDERWOOD CREATIVE ARTS AND SCIENCES - 2010-2011 PROGRAMS: Our all school performance last fall was a musical treat from Epic Brass, a virtuoso group of brass players who led the kids on a foot stomping romp through five centuries of music, combining serious artistic interpretation with light-hearted entertainment. Kids learned about the different qualities of several brass instruments, including the tuba, horn, trombone, and several different kinds of trumpets.

CASC also sponsored three or four programs specific for each grade. Many of these were old favorites that the teachers ask for every year to complement the curriculum. Others were new and different!
