New to Underwood this year: OUR FIRST SCHOOL STUDENT COUNCIL!
This committed group of 5th grade leaders will work closely with Mrs. Smith and the staff to address a variety of school-wide, and just as importantly, community outreach goals throughout the year. Each 5th grader on the Council had to write an essay explaining why community service is important to them. After a review of many outstanding submissions, a Council of seven is now seated.
The entire school community is grateful to these students for their dedication to helping others, improving our school and connecting Underwood to important, community causes. The Council’s first assignment is to coordinate Trick or Treat for Unicef.
