Amy Davis
Co-President

Amy is in her first year as Co-President, after getting involved with the PTO through organizing the Online Auction last year. She is currently taking a pause from her career in Higher Ed Development to be at home with her kids. A four time Boston Marathon qualifier, you can find Amy running on Heartbreak Hill when she is not volunteering. Her son, Will, is in the first grade, and her daughter, Quinn will be at Underwood next year!

Co-President

Laura is in her first year as Co-President after being Chair of the CASC for two years.  Laura's daughters Lilah and Charlotte are in third and first grade at Underwood, respectively.

John Papoutsis
Treasurer

John is in his 3rd year on the PTO. He is a lifelong Newton resident and attended the Newton Public Schools. He has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years. His oldest daughter, Melly, graduated from Underwood and is now at Bigelow, and his twin girls, Maria and Christina, are currently in the 5th grade at Underwood.

Kate Luethy
Secretary

Kate is excited to join the PTO as secretary this year. She is mom to Emma (4th grade) and Jackson (2nd grade). She works part time as Nurse Practitioner and in her spare time likes being with her children, family and friends. She enjoys jogging, baking, arts and crafts, and the beach.

Erika Holmberg
Officer at Large

This is Erika’s 3rd year on the PTO, but she has been a parent at Underwood since 2014. She has two boys, a 5th grader at Underwood and an 8th grader at Bigelow. She works full time in clinical research and has her Masters in Public Health. Erika will serve as a conduit of information about Newton’s Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ) at Underwood and is looking for more people to get involved!

Joanne Wang
Newsletter Editor

Joanne is mom to Clark (4th grade) and Autumn (2nd grade). She works full time as the Director of Corporate Services for a Boston based non profit that assists the growth of minority owned businesses. In her free time, she loves to bake, hike, run and also volunteers at the Auburndale Community Library.
