Anne-Marie Gravel
Co-President

Anne-Marie is serving her 2nd year on the PTO. Prior to that, she was one of the Creative Arts and Sciences (CASC) co-chairs for two years. She has enjoyed being a stay at home mom for the last 10 years, and loves being involved in the school and seeing the kids' happy faces. Her son Charles is currently in 5th grade and her daughter Lilianne in 3rd grade, both at Underwood School.

Jen Tsuda
Co-President

Jen is in her 3rd year on the PTO. She enjoys testing out new dessert recipes with her family, chatting with local parents at nearby parks, and discovering the joys of New England’s four seasons. Her older son, Oliver, is currently in 4th grade at Underwood, and her younger son, Mason, is in preschool.

John Papoutsis
Treasurer

John is in his 2nd year on the PTO. He is a lifelong Newton resident and attended the Newton Public Schools. He has worked in the financial services industry for 25 years. His oldest daughter, Melly, graduated from Underwood two years ago and is now at Bigelow, and his twin girls, Maria and Christina, are currently in the 4th grade at Underwood.

Kate Luethy
Secretary

Kate is excited to join the PTO as secretary this year. She is mom to Emma (3rd grade) and Jackson (1st grade). She works part time as Nurse Practitioner and in her spare time likes being with her children, family and friends. She enjoys jogging, baking, arts and crafts, and the beach.

Erika Holmberg
Officer at Large

This is Erika’s 2nd year on the PTO, but she has been a parent at Underwood since 2014. She has two boys, a 4th grader at Underwood and an 8th grader at Bigelow. She works full time in clinical research and has her Masters in Public Health. Erika will serve as a conduit of information about Newton’s Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ) at Underwood and is looking for more people to get involved!

Joanne Wang
Newsletter Editor

Joanne is mom to Clark (3rd grade) and Autumn (1st grade). She works full time as the Director of Corporate Services for a Boston based non profit that assists the growth of minority owned businesses. In her free time, she loves to bake, hike, run and also volunteers at the Auburndale Community Library.
