Anne-Marie Gravel
President

Anne-Marie is serving her 1st year on the PTO. Prior to that, she was one of the Creative Arts and Sciences (CASC) co-chairs for two years. She has enjoyed being a stay at home mom for the last 9 years, and loves being involved in the school and seeing the kids' happy faces. Her son Charles is currently in 4th grade and her daughter Lilianne in 2nd grade, both at Underwood School.

Jen Tsuda
Vice President of Fundraising

Jen is in her 2nd year on the PTO. She enjoys testing out new dessert recipes with her family, chatting with local parents at nearby parks, and discovering the joys of New England’s four seasons. Her older son, Oliver, is currently in 3rd grade at Underwood, and her younger son, Mason, is in preschool.

Becca Connors
Vice President of Communications

Becca is in her 5th year on the PTO. When she's not at the school she works right next door in the Newton Innovation Center running her own business in design and digital communications. Her older son, Reese, graduated from Underwood last year and is now at Bigelow, and her younger son, Quinn, is currently in the 4th grade at Underwood School.

John Papoutsis
Treasurer

John is in his 1st year on the PTO. He is a lifelong Newton resident and attended the Newton Public Schools. He has worked in the financial services industry for 24 years. His oldest daughter, Melly, graduated from Underwood last year and is now at Bigelow, and his twin girls, Maria and Christina, are currently in the 3rd grade at Underwood.

Kate Luethy
Secretary

Kate is excited to join the PTO as secretary this year. She is mom to Emma (2nd grade) and Jackson (kindergarten). She works part time as Nurse Practitioner and in her spare time likes being with her children, family and friends. She enjoys jogging, baking, arts and crafts, and the beach.

Erika Holmberg
Officer at Large

This is Erika’s first year on the PTO, but she has been a parent at Underwood since 2014. She has two boys, a third grader at Underwood and a seventh grader at Bigelow. She works full time in clinical research and has her Masters in Public Health. Erika will serve as a conduit of information about Newton’s Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ) at Underwood and is looking for more people to get involved!

Joanne Wang
Newsletter Editor

Joanne is mom to Clark (2nd grade) and Autumn (kindergarten). She works full time as the Director of Corporate Services for a Boston based non profit that assists the growth of minority owned businesses. In her free time, she loves to bake, hike, run and also volunteers at the Auburndale Community Library.
