Parent involvement is the key to any great school. It’s also a lot of fun as well as a wonderful way to make friends. Many volunteer positions require very little of your time and effort but offer a big payoff to our children and their school. Please contact the listed event chairs or the Underwood PTO at email@example.com for further details on any of these open positions.
Thank you for your continued involvement in making Underwood a vibrant community!
Creative Arts & Sciences Committee (CASC)
Run by Jillian Feinberg, grade-level coordinators are needed to organize volunteers for enrichment programming for each class. Coordinators work with Jillian (who schedules all programming) to ensure at least one parent volunteer attends each session. This is a great opportunity to get into your child’s classroom and get to know his/her teacher and classmates. Minimal effort required; time invested is only 45-90 minutes per session. Learn more about CASC.
Run by Tommy Medernach, the camp fair is a fun event perfect for any and all parents. The commitment is only a single evening in early February. Come help set up, greet the camp representatives and/or assist with clean up. It's also a great way to learn about summer options for your school-age children! Learn more about the Camp Fair.
Committee Members & Class Project Coordinators needed!
Run by Jennifer Tsuda and Kate DeVagno, this is a major fundraiser that needs a few committee members to help pull it together. Perfect for working parents. Very limited involvement; mostly requires emailing at your convenience. The class projects for each grade provide a great opportunity to get into your child’s classroom and to be creative and have fun. You will coordinate with other parent volunteers to go into classrooms and create a project with each class for the spring auction. Learn more about the Online Auction.
