Thursday, August 29th
- The Underwood teachers and staff look forward to greeting all families at our Visitor’s Day on Thursday, August 29th. If you are able, please stop by the school between 2:00 and 2:45 PM to meet your child’s teacher, connect with other families, and see the classrooms.
Tuesday, September 3rd
- School begins!
- NOTE: On the First Day of school only, parents/caregivers will be allowed to accompany children to their classrooms at arrival. As a reminder, for the rest of the first week of school, students should meet their teachers on the blacktop for a reverse dismissal. All classroom teachers will meet children outside and lead students in just after 8:20 AM. Beginning Monday, September 10th students will enter the building when the doors open at 8:20 AM and meet their teachers in their classrooms. Friday, September 6th
- Welcome Back Coffee @ 8:30am.
- Movie Night @ Dusk.

Join us for the Back to School Picnic!
Tuesday, September 24th
- Curriculum Night from 6:00–8:00 PM is for parents only. This is an evening for parents to visit classrooms and hear about the goals, expectations, and curriculum of the grade level their child is in.
Thursday, September 26th
- Early Dismissal @ 12:30pm.
Monday, September 30th
Rosh Hashanah – No school!

Picture Day

Yom Kippur – No school!
2019-2020 Early Release Days
In addition to the early release days on Tuesdays, we will have six early release days throughout the year. Parents and caregivers often find it helpful to know these dates early in the school year so they can plan accordingly. Again, students are released at 12:30 PM on early dismissals, and lunch is not served. This year the early release days will be:

- Wednesday, December 4th
- Thursday, February 6th
- Thursday, March 19th
- Thursday, May 7th
